1. Acceptance
By accessing or using https://www.dentalnpi.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. What this site is — and is not
DentalNPI is a free, government-data-verified search and care guide for U.S. dentists. We aggregate public records and provide editorial context to help you research a provider before booking.
This site does not provide medical, dental, or legal advice. Information here is for general research and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional clinical judgment. Always consult a licensed dentist before making treatment decisions. See our full medical disclaimer.
Inclusion of a provider on this site is not an endorsement, recommendation, or certification of that provider's competence, skill, or fitness for any particular purpose.
3. License to use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the Site for personal, non-commercial research purposes. You may not:
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically copy provider records, blog content, or other Site material without prior written permission. Public-record source data may be obtained directly from the government source.
- Use the Site to harass, defame, or unlawfully target any provider or user.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or proprietary algorithms underlying our content scoring.
- Use automated systems (bots, scripts) at a rate that could reasonably be construed as a denial-of-service attack. Reasonable, identified research crawlers are welcome — see robots.txt.
4. Provider data & corrections
Provider records are derived from federal open-data sources (NPPES, HRSA, OIG, CMS) and refreshed on a published cadence. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, federal data lag and provider self-reporting mean some details may be outdated. The official upstream record is always authoritative.
If you are a provider and believe a record is inaccurate, see our editorial policy for the correction workflow.
5. Affiliate relationships
Some links on the Site are affiliate links to booking partners or insurance brokers. We may receive a commission if you take a qualifying action after clicking. Affiliate revenue does not affect provider rankings, content scores, or which providers appear in our public-tier lists. See the editorial policy for the full firewall.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
7. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DENTALNPI AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE — ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR ANY PROVIDER YOU CONTACT THROUGH THE SITE.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DentalNPI from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
9. Third-party links
The Site links to third-party sites — federal data sources, mapping providers, partner booking sites, and others. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or services of any third party.
10. Intellectual property
Federal open-data records (NPPES, HRSA, OIG, CMS) are U.S. Government Works in the public domain. Editorial content (blog posts, About copy, methodology pages, derived rankings, this Terms document, and the Site design) is © 2026 DentalNPI. See our DMCA policy for copyright complaints.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last reviewed” date at the top reflects the most recent meaningful revision. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing law & dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California; you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
